The power of visualization is all around us. I was spending time pondering how many things I have brought in to my life just by this simple practice.

Everything you have ever wanted you have got and you have got it by holding an image of that thing in your mind for an extended period of time or by attaching great emotion to it. The emotion 'Desire'.

If you truly want to change your life, focus on what you want and not what you've got. What you've got is plentiful and have you already wasted enough time working with limitation.

"Shoot for the Stars and you may hit the Moon", says Harv Eker.

Dream big. For the bigger you dream, you will truly be impressed when you recieve it.
And that is the truth. Set a goal so HUGE that even you will be blown away when you receive it. When it comes around to you you will say, now that's Fantastic!

Been A Long Time Coming

Well it has been a long time coming for me to post to my blog again.

It has been a long time coming, waiting for the winter snow to melt.

Been a long time coming waiting for the rebirth of spring.

Been a long time coming waiting for all the wonderful philosophies to come out this year.

I don't know if you have been paying attention but there are fantastic things happening around us of late. Some people have said to me that it feels eerie like something is going to happen. I have to agree, I believe we are on the edge of new discovery about ourselves. The theories are endless.

This year will see the release of 3 movies that I have been following that may give you an idea of the conflict we are seeing.

Of course nearly everyone has heard of the DaVinci Code. This movie alone will rock the religious world. It is like a battle for the survival of religion on our planet.

The chuches are launching campaign after campaign to recruit claiming, "These are dark times upon us". There may be truth in that also. Although I try not to take a political view it is my observation and opinion that our nations are not moving towards peace but instead towards more mongering of resources and war. Perhaps we need merely to challenge our governments to wake up before to many innocent people around the world die. DaVinci Code seems to wake up the church and is actually having a reverse effect in some cases with more people heading back to church.

Another challenge to the churches will be released this spring called, "The Celestine Prophecies" Already the debunking machines are getting fired up within the churches. This movie, if like the book, merely paints us as spiritual beings on a journey to improvement. I will see this when it comes to theatres.

Last year we saw the release of "What the Bleep Do We Know". Another new movie dealing with some Quantum physics theories and your place in the universe is "The Secret". Cameo appearances by one of my mentors, Bob Proctor and others like Joe Vitale guide you through an amazing jouney. You will come out the other side of this movie feeling good about you. That to many, has Been a Long Time Coming!

The Touchstone

When the great library of Alexandria burned, the story goes, one book was saved. But it was not a valuable book; and so a poor man, who could read a little, bought it for a few coppers.

The book wasn't very interesting, but between its pages there was something very interesting indeed. It was a thin strip of vellum on which was written the secret of the "Touchstone"!

The Touchstone was a small pebble that could turn any common metal into pure gold. The writing explained that it was lying among thousands and thousands of other pebbles that looked exactly like it. But the secret was this: The real stone would feel warm, while ordinary pebbles are cold.

So the man sold his few belongings, bought some simple supplies, camped on the seashore, and began testing pebbles.

He knew that if he picked up ordinary pebbles and threw them down again because they were cold, he might pick up the same pebble hundreds of times. So, when he felt one that was cold, he threw it into the sea. He spent a whole day doing this but none of them was the touchstone. Yet he went on and on this way. Pick up a pebble. Cold - throw it into the sea. Pick up another. Throw it into the sea.

The days stretched into weeks and the weeks into months. One day, however, about mid-afternoon, he picked up a pebble and it was warm. He threw it into the sea before he realized what he had done. He had formed such a strong habit of throwing each pebble into the sea that when the one he wanted came along he still threw it away.

So it is with opportunity. Unless we are vigilant, it's easy to fail to recognize an opportunity when it is in hand and it's just as easy to throw it away.

I Choose To…

How interesting live is. We can choose to get from it whatever we want or we can choose to receive from it what we will.

I guess that is the difference between believing you control your universe or you follow a destined path. If the latter were true, How is it that so many can change their life blueprint and completely shift the dynamics of their life.

An important step in having more in your life is believing you can have more. We use a technique called Emotional Freedom Techniques, EFT’s, to coach people and deliver change to their careers. What this technique allows is for your mind to clear the blueprint you have designed for yourself and then rebuild your subconscious blueprint using some amazing affirmations.

A lot of people have used affirmations without much success. We have discovered a way to use affirmations along with EFT’s and have outstanding results. Just the syntax of the affirmation can slightly be altered to produce quick positive results. An example would be “I choose to easily and consistently make over $20,000 per month”. Using affirmations with “I Choose” stops those tail-enders that occur when we normally do an affirmation. You know the ones in your mind that say, “Ya But!”

It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen. Claude M. Bristol

So write down a few goals for yourself and then start talking in affirmations, “I Choose..” and watch as your whole mindset changes and you accelerate on the road to success.

Being a Mentor

What does it take to be a mentor?

I have become an observor of people and their habits. In todays world there are many mentors to follow. Or maybe, I should say, there are many to learn from. I say this because, there are "Memtors" out there who are looking for followers. To me, that is not what life coaching and mentoring is about. It is about creating leaders and passing on knowledge to help the masses.

I love Bob Proctor's quote, "A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you, than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you." Bob Proctor-Author, Speaker and Success Coach

There is the true ability. So in our last blog we asked,"Are you grateful for all the things in your life?" Take time to Thank the people who see your beauty and your inner spirit for they truely care about your success. They are the ones who pray for your success and your happiness.

I frequently call my mentors when I find myself in a familiar situation and I remember how I used to react. They have helped bring forth in me my spirit of calmness and positive thinking. They are responsible for my success in so many ways.

Heavenly Insights

I just finished reading the book "The Celestine Prophecy". It was a beautiful story of being in control of our own spirituality and future.
Our evolution, as it would appear, is one of true enlightenment.
It is a shame that this book is fiction - Damn!
However there are some wonderful lessons that can be captured from the pages of the book. I am sure that most of us believe that we are made of energy and it would only seem natural that they way we project ourselves on to others affects their day as well as ours.
In the 4th insight the book speaks of the struggle for power, and I have watched this happen in my own household between my children. When the negative energy is confronted with LOVE then the negative disipates and is replaced with a calm feeling.
Imagine yourself projecting Love towards others, picture it flowing from your heart to their soul. It is amazing the calming effect this has on others.
We have been studying Emotional Freedom Techniques for a little over a year now. EFT's deal directly with the bodies energy system, meridians,and are used to rest the negative emotions and burdens that we carry with more positive thoughts and feelings.
Once a person starts the process of the EF Technique, there is often a new connection made in the mind that seems to raise your awareness of yourself. You begin to realize your struggles with old emotional belief's that have been holding you back.

The Making Of A Memory

One can't predict when or where they will come from; those memories that stay with us a lifetime, and never fail to bring us warm fuzzy feelings.

My husband had just finished loading his car; made one lap back through the house and then into the kitchen. "I guess filling my thermos is all I have left to do, and then I'm off." Down the drain went the hot water that had been warming his thermos. With a very nostalgic look on his face he softly said, "When I filled this with water earlier, I thought of your mom. In fact, anytime I fill my thermos I think of her."

"Oh honey, that's so sweet. I know she's watching and listening right now with a big smile on her face," I responded as tears began to brim my eyelids.

"You know, I never fill my thermos that I don't think of her, and I always smile too." The tone in his voice was so tender as he spoke of my mother who is no longer with us.

Years ago we had been visiting my parents, and the morning we were leaving mother watched as Jerry began to fill his thermos. Being the "coffee drinker" in the family, he's always placed himself in charge of thermos duties. Mom then casually offered up a tidbit of advice. "Jerry, if you would fill your thermos with hot water and let it sit a while, your coffee would stay hot longer on your drive." The look on his face was priceless as her simple suggestion sunk in. Well of course it would! It only makes all the sense in the world! Who wouldn't know that? He dumped the small amount of coffee already in the thermos, and ran the tap until it was at its hottest; then refilled with piping hot water. After pouring himself a fresh cup of coffee, he sat down to enjoy a few more minutes with mom, and to discuss this unique new idea.

Words of wisdom from a loving mother-in-law made an impact that will never be forgotten. When spoken that morning, Jerry didn't realize he would always hear those words ringing in his ears, or that they would bring a smile to his face time and time again. And Mother would never have dreamed her words would be a treasured, and everlasting memory in the heart of her son-in-law.

The "fondest, lasting memories" don't necessarily come from "major moments" in life...the making of a memory simply happens...

I first signed onto the internet in 1996. The first thing I did was search for writing groups. There were hundreds of them, but I wanted one with a chat room where I could correspond personally with writers.

The one I joined was special. I met many aspiring writers and a few established ones. In this group I met a young man named Dan (Not his real name). We became friends, and over the years I learned his life story. Dan is Korean and had been adopted by an American family. Dan was a young boy when his father left him and his mom. Later his mother slowly pushed him away from her.

At 18, Dan was on his own in the world. He worked two jobs and was going to school. He tried hard, but he was not making it. His two jobs were dragging his marks down. He would lose jobs when he tried to get his marks up. Dan was falling down and had no one to pick him up. He had no anchor. His family had abandoned him; life had abandoned him; his future a mountain too high to climb.

Dan latched onto me and began calling me his cyber dad.

A few years back Dan emailed me. He had reached his limit. He had lost another job. Juggling jobs and school had failed.He had dropped the "ball." With the loss of income he could not pay the rent for his tiny room. His landlord was going to throw him out.

Dan confessed to me that he was close to ending it all. Myself and another friend of his chipped together and sent him a couple hundred dollars to pay his rent. This was money I could not afford to give, but he needed it more than I did. Before I sent him the money, I went online and did a search of government agencies in the area where he lived. I mailed several government officials and told them I had a special request for someone in need.

I said, "I know this may seem strange, but I have a friend in need. I am a Canadian who belongs to an internet writing group. A young man I met there needs your help. He has lost his job and his landlord is throwing him out for non-payment of rent. He has been struggling with two jobs and school and has no family to help him. I believe he is considering suicide. I ask you for any assistance you can give."

Only one mailed back. She was a compassionate lady who mailed me a list of support and help groups. They included the suicide help line and a group that could assist him with work related assistance.

I mailed Dan the list and made him promise to use them before I sent him money. He promised he would, and he did. The groups did assist him. He got a new job and his future looked brighter. I also made him call every relative he could find for their help. He was skeptical, but did it. One kindly aunt gave him a room.

Dan was on his way.

This occurred in 1998. Dan and I moved on from there. We emailed once every few months, and he always called me Dad.

In December of 2003 Dan called me. He had met a young lady and he asked me if I would come to his wedding. The wedding was going to be in Kansas. I said I would love to be there to watch him get married. He replied, "Dad, you don't understand. I don't want you to just be there; I want you to be my best man."

I was floored. I had never met Dan before, but how could I refuse? In the spring of 2004 I flew to Kansas to give this young man his first hug from his cyber dad and had the honor of standing by his side as he took his new bride into his life.

I have been through a lot in my 45 years on this world. Some of it has been very hard and some of it has been wonderful. My visit to Kansas was one of the wonderful ones.

I learned a valuable lesson - reach out and touch someone and you will be touched back - give and you shall receive.

Don't Follow the Leader - by Bob Proctor

Processionary caterpillars travel in long, undulating lines, one creature behind the other. Jean Hanri Fabre, the French entomologist, once lead a group of these caterpillars onto the rim of a large flowerpot so that the leader of the procession found himself nose to tail with the last caterpillar in the procession, forming a circle without end or beginning.

Through sheer force of habit and, of course, instinct, the ring of caterpillars circled the flowerpot for seven days and seven nights, until they died from exhaustion and starvation. An ample supply of food was close at hand and plainly visible, but it was outside the range of the circle, so the caterpillars continued along the beaten path.

People often behave in a similar way. Habit patterns and ways of thinking become deeply established, and it seems easier and more comforting to follow them than to cope with change, even when that change may represent freedom, achievement, and success.

If someone shouts, "Fire!" it is automatic to blindly follow the crowd, and many thousands have needlessly died because of it. How many stop to ask themselves: Is this really the best way out of here?

So many people "miss the boat" because it's easier and more comforting to follow - to follow without questioning the qualifications of the people just ahead - than to do some independent thinking and checking.

A hard thing for most people to fully understand is that people in such numbers can be so wrong, like the caterpillars going around and around the edge of the flowerpot, with life and food just a short distance away. If most people are living that way, it must be right, they think. But a little checking will reveal that throughout all recorded history the majority of mankind has an unbroken record of being wrong about most things, especially important things. For a time we thought the earth was flat and later we thought the sun, stars, and planets traveled around the Earth. Both ideas are now considered ridiculous, but at the time they were believed and defended by the vast majority of followers. In the hindsight of history we must have looked like those caterpillars blindly following the follower out of habit rather than stepping out of line to look for the truth.

It's difficult for people to come to the understanding that only a small minority of people ever really get the word about life, about living abundantly and successfully. Success in the important departments of life seldom comes naturally, no more naturally than success at anything - a musical instrument, sports, fly-fishing, tennis, golf, business, marriage, parenthood.

But for some reason most people wait passively for success to come to them - like the caterpillars going around in circles, waiting for sustenance, following nose to tail - living as other people are living in the unspoken, tacit assumption that other people know how to live successfully.

It's a good idea to step out of the line every once in a while and look around to see if the line is going where we want it to go. If it is not, it might be time for a new leader and a new direction.

For those who have tried repeatedly to break a habit of some kind, only to repeatedly fail, Mary Pickford said, "Falling is not failing, unless you fail to get up." Most people who finally win the battle over a habit they have wanted to change have done so only after repeated failures. And it's the same with most things.

The breaking of a long-time habit does seem like the end of the road at the time - the complete cessation of enjoyment. Suddenly dropping the habit so fills our minds with the desire for the old habitual way that, for a while, it seems there will no longer be any peace, any sort of enjoyment. But that's not true. New habits form in a surprisingly short time, and a whole new world opens up to us.

So, if you've been trying to start in a new direction, you might do well to remember the advice of Mary Pickford: breaking an old habit isn't the end of the road; it's just a bend in the road. And falling isn't failing, unless you don't get up.

Living in a Dream World. aaahhhh!

I wanted to share this Friday Story with you from Matt Forck. You may find some enlightening words to help you this day.

A Dream World
"I look at that family, that car, that house and that job and I think, what a dream..."

I confess that years ago I gazed longingly at luxury cars. I dreamed of owning one, brand didn't matter, I wasn't picky, any one would do. I continued living in this dream world until one day I came to a simple yet powerful realization...that at one point in time a luxury car was a dream for the person who now drives it. With few exceptions, he or she didn't always have the skill or education to earn the money to buy that lavish ride. It was a dream for them...one that came to fruition through hard work and focus. I guess one could say that today, they are living a dream world?

Over time I thought more about 'living a dream world' and bringing dreams to reality, until finally I arrived at a staggering yet unmistakable conclusion that it is all a dream. In the past I glanced at a Lexus or Mercedes and thought that person is 'living in a dream world.' Over time I have expanded my thoughts to conclude that everything we see, use, consume or have is a result of a dream...let me explain.

The technology in the computer I type on at this very moment was a dream of many scientists years ago. The computer that now sits on my desk was made by a company that just a few short years ago called a garage their world wide corporate headquarters. What began as a dream of an energetic entrepreneur is now a worldwide fortune 500 company. The parts and assembly for this computer are the careful work of many hands, people who thought they would probably not be assembling computers for a living. Yet, this work lets them foster their dreams of providing a nice living for their family, an education, a new television, a daughter's wedding or a car for their teenager.

This computer now rests on my desk, one that I dreamed of having in a study that I imagined years ago. I call my study 'the room of knowing.' Its walls are lined with articles I have published, book jackets from books I have written and some awards that I have won, accomplishments I only dreamed of years ago. It is called 'the room of knowing' because I now know I can accomplish my dreams if I set my mind to it, this room reminds me of that. It could also be called the 'room of dreams,' after all, that's where it all started. I guess one could say that as I type...I am working in a dream world, a world of my dreams (the study) and others (the computer)...

As I drive to work this morning, I realize that I can run through the same 'dream' drill with my car. It was made by a company that started small...a dream. Engineers with a vision (or dream) designed it. Workers who are working a dream job because it provides for and creates their dreams assembled it. I can run the same dream drill with the STOP sign at the intersection by my home. It was put there by a crew who dreamed of working outside. In a subdivision that was a dream of a developer. Ordered by local, county and state laws, laws passed by people who dreamed of serving their community and country. The sign is in Cole County, Missouri, one of 50 states that make our great country, a country that began in the hopes, hearts and dreams of our forefathers.

I could run through the same dream thought process as I pass the local McDonalds restaurant, my CPA's office, the public library or the state capital. I could do the same with the water at my tap or the road I drive on or the Green Tea that I quietly sip but that would be redundant, you get the point, each and everything around us is part of a dream that has reached fruition. This reality proves dreams do come true. That anything we touch, have, hold or use is a result of the hopes, energies and imaginations of the ones who create it...it is part of a dream world. Focus on 'a dream world' for just five minutes today and you will realize an appreciation, astonishment and empowerment that you have not felt before...you will literally be opening your eyes, for a first time, in a dream.

Creating The Millionaire Mind

I often wonder why some people become Millionaires and others, with the same opportunities presented to them, don't do much of anything. It is not a secret formula or a special gift it is simply, a way of thinking. A way of behaving and a way of taking action.

I try to imagine a line that I could coach people with that would make them accelerate at becoming successful. They would be able to look back at that very moment in their life and say, "That is the day I achieved enlightenment and decided to change my life forever".

So what is the right thing to say?

I don't know, however I have learned this. It is a constant reconditioning of the mind that has to take place. It is developing the warrior inside you to take action.

Decision comes from the Latin word 'decidere', which means "to kill off any other alternatives" Choosing what you want in life is good but making a decision with your life to get what you want is better.

Commit is "to devote oneself unreservedly". Absolutely holding nothing back. Giving 100% of whatever you've got to achieve your goal (Wealth).

Doing whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, that is the Warrior way.

If we were only to live up to our own words to ourselves. We could achieve anything we want in life. Wealth is for everyone who is willing to do "not what it takes" but "whatever it takes" to accomplish it.

Finally.. Pillar 5 of the Success Elements

Well here we are again, back with another of the success pillars. Thank you for taking your time to read them. I hope you find them informative and enlightening. We are nearing the end of our journey on this topic.

There are 5 key elements that a home based business can be built on. Let me point out that, these elements are crucial in all industries not just the home-based market. We call them the 5 pillars of success. Of those 5 pillars you are only in control of 2. Plus, there is one other ingredient that you must add to the mix to make it all work. I will tell you about that detail later.

The Pillars are; Timing, Trends, Company, Compensation and Product.

Pillar #5. Product. It's gotta have Pizzaz!

This is the second element that you can control. Remember, there are only two. The first was the Company you choose. The Product you pick, will decide your believe level. Your new found passion and will spell out the amount of success you will have.

In this industry if your product is not remarkable, you are invisible.

Think of yourself as a wholesaler of unique and interesting products that the masses must come to you to get. Would you want to be in a network marketing business selling candy bars or vinyl records? I can walk in to my local convenience shop and buy candy bars. Although it may be a great product it is not very exciting and would be difficult to build a business with.

You need a product people will buy even with no compensation plan. You need a system for your people to retail product to the consumer. Wal-Mart is the world's largest retail corporation. How big would their parking lot need to be if they only sold to their employees? In network marketing you have to retail a product or service to make a profit.

It all comes down to the product. Now I am not here to knock any one else's products.

Success Tip - You must get excited about the product you take. You must have enough passion to tell others about it? Always try the product for yourself before you commit to buying huge quantities of stock for your garage or basement. We used to call that Garage Educated.

This is a referral business, contrary to what some of the internet marketing companies tell you. In network marketing you get paid by selling a product, either through a downline or retailing, someone has to buy something along the way. When you go to a good movie, you tell people about it. When you go to a good restaurant, you tell people about it. When you take a great product that gives you a result, you are going to tell people about it.

The problem with the old way of network marketing was. No exciting products. That's it! You won't sell what you don't believe in. If you won't take it, why would anyone else? Some of the older companies just kept loading more and more products onto their distributors. None of them were very special and the ones that were special, got lost in the backpages of the web catalogue. FOCUS on what you like.

Here is another key. There must be a product. It is the law. The government has done a very good job of protecting us, but if someone is asking you to join a company where you lay out $100, $200, $400 - $1500.00 and you don't get a product in return for it, run away, it is just not right.

So what is HOT right now? Keep 'em looking and feeling younger. Those old baby-boomers want to die young as late as possible. Products, that will give physical results to the person taking it. It should give energy, pain relief, softer skin, or slows aging. Would you buy products like that? Of course you would.

These are basic principles to be successful. If a business is not easy to do, simple to understand, people won't do it.

Takin' it to the Grave

Upon seeing me all stressed out one day years ago, a friend of mine told me, "Dan, I don't know WHY you worry about all these little things. In 5 Years is it really going to matter?" "It's not a heart-lung machine we are talking about here!"

Those words summed up STRESS to me. They changed the way I viewed the world after that. Stress should only be a challenge, not a threat as Greg Anderson states in his quote. Stress is manageable and is only what you make it.

We obviously can't regard everything as having no urgency, however we can realize that we should not "Sweat the little things". In five years it really won't matter.

Classic example of useless Stress is 'Road Rage'. What does it matter if you arrive alive at your destination safe and sound a little later than anticipated. Don't let yourself become trapped by the events you have no control over.

How true these words ring through my head. I look at my friends, many who are getting ready to live life. I hear their words, "When I retire, I'm Going to....", "As soon as I pay my bills, I'm going to...."

How many times have you said that?

You must understand life can be taken away as swiftly as it was given.

"Life is our Gift from God. What we do with that life is our gift to God".

Don't waste your days in pity, anger, grief, deceit, or any other negative action or emotion. Our gift has an expiry date on it. So make the best of it. It is expected of you.

Was pillar 3 amazing or what? It is interesting to learn that there are Associations out there that can protect you when choosing a company. There is a lot to learn in this industry and it is hard to condense in to a few words in a few letters cast across cyberspace. My wish is, that you find this informative.

There are 5 key elements that a home based business can be built on. Let me point out that, these elements are crucial in all industries not just the home-based market. We call them the 5 pillars of success. Of those 5 pillars you are only in control of 2. Plus, there is one other ingredient that you must add to the mix to make it all work. I will tell you about that later.

The Pillars are; Timing, Trends, Company, Compensation and Product.

Pillar #4. Compensation.

Is it, "The super-Star space commander bonus paid out on the second full moon of every month?"

OK, I know, some Compensation Plans are hard to understand. Did you know that there are basically 4 different personality types? Depending on what personality type you are will depend on which compensation plan is best for you.

A compensation plan must work for the part-timer as well as the full-timer who wants unlimited income.

There are plans that build wide, wide, wide and only a few levels deep. These are good for those types of people who, like to sell sell sell. Problem with that is that over 90% of the population are sales resistant. They can't stand pushy aggressive sales people.

35% of the population are nurturers. They need a plan where they can help the most people, putting people under people under people to nurture and help those people.

15% of the population just wants to have fun. They need a plan that is fast-paced, exciting, with fast-start money.

35% of the population is detail-oriented number-crunchers. They need to see unlimited income in the leadership position.

15% of the population is all about money. They want to make more money than anybody else. They want a compensation plan that realistically offers Unlimited Income. They will leave you for more money.

In the past few years, models have been created by Universities, which make the perfect fit for the majority. The older network marketing companies are still trying to make those 10, 15, 25 and even 30-year-old plans still work. Those plans had their day and it does not match today's market, technology or social makeup. Distributors had a hard time making them work then, they will have a harder time making them work today.

So what is new? Dual-Linear, fast-start-bonus, pay-to-infinity, matching-check, leader-bonus with Retail capabilities built in, compensation plans. , that is a mouthful. The general idea is it has to fit the majority of people.

Most new companies use software to track and balance all the nuances of the pay plan so that you can promote your business instead of balancing legs, calculate percentages and overlapping levels. If you wish to do your own placements then the software will allow you to do that. Personally, I just want to know how many people I need, to make a residual paycheck every month. If I want a pay raise, how many more people do I need to add.

These are basic principles to be successful. If a business is not easy to do, simple to understand, people won't do it.

The Happiest Day Of My Life

It started innocently.

Many years ago I worked in an office with large windows facing a busy overpass. I was standing by one of those windows one day when a woman in a passing car looked up and made eye contact. Naturally, I waved.

A chuckle escaped my lips as she turned and tried to identify me. It was the beginning of a year of window antics. When things were slow, I would stand in the window and wave at the passengers who looked up. The strange looks made me laugh and stress was washed away.

Co-workers began to take an interest. They would stand from view, watch the reactions I received, and laugh along.

Late afternoon was the best time - rush hour traffic filled the overpass with cars and transit buses, and providing lots of waving material for the end-of-day routine. It didn't take long to attract a following - a group of commuters who passed the window every day and looked up at the strange waving man.

There was a man with a construction truck who would turn on his flashing-yellow light and return my wave, the carpool crowd, and the business lady with her children fresh from day care. But my favorite was the transit bus from the docks that passed my window at 4:40pm. It carried the same group every day, and they became by biggest fans.

After a while, waving became boring, so I devised ways to enhance my act. I made signs: "Hi," "Hello," "Be Happy!" and posted them in the window and waved. I stood on the window ledge in various poses, created hats from paper and file-folders, made faces, played peek-a-boo by bouncing up from below the window ledge, stuck out my tongue, tossed paper planes in the air, and once went into the walkway over the street and danced while co-workers pointed to let my fans know I was there.

Christmas approached, and job cuts were announced. Several co-workers would lose their jobs, and everyone was feeling low. Stress in the office reached a high. A miracle was needed to repair the damage caused by the announcements.

While working a night shift, a red lab jacket attracted my attention. I picked it up and turned it in my hands. In a back corner where packing material was kept, I used my imagination and cut thin, white sheets of cloth-like foam into trips and taped them around the cuffs and collar, down the front, and around the hem. A box of foam packing and strips of tape became Santa's beard and when taped to the hat, slipped over my head in one piece.

The next working day I hid from my co-workers, slipped into the costume, walked bravely to my desk, sat down, held my belly, and mocked Santa's chuckle, as they gathered around me laughing. It was the first time I had seen them smile in weeks. Later my supervisor walked through the door. He took three steps, looked up, saw me, paused, shook his head, turned and left.

I feared trouble. The phone on the desk rung a few moments later, "Mike, can you come to my office please?" I shuffled down the hall, the foam beard swishing across my chest with each step.

"Come in!" the muffled voice replied to my knock. I entered, and sat down. The foam on the beard creaked, and he looked away from me. A bead of sweat rolled down my forehead, the only sound was the hammering of my heart. "Mike..." This was all he managed before he lost his composure, leaned back in his chair, and bellowed with laughter. He held his stomach, and tears formed in his eyes, as I sat silent and confused. When he regained control he said, "Mike, thanks! With the job cuts it has been hard to enjoy the Christmas season. Thanks for the laugh, I needed it."

That evening, and every evening of the Christmas season, I stood proudly in the window and waved to my fans. The bus crowd waved wildly, and the little children smiled at the strange Santa. My heart was full of the season, and for a few minutes each day we could forget the loss of jobs.

I didn't know it then, but a bond was forming between my fans and me. It wasn't until the spring following the Santa act that I discovered how close we had become.

My wife and I were expecting our first child that spring, and I wanted the world to know. Less than a month before the birth I posted a sign in the window, "25 DAYS UNTIL B DAY." My fans passed and shrugged their shoulders. The next day the sign read, "24 DAYS UNTIL B DAY." Each day the number dropped, and the passing people grew more confused.

One day a sign appeared in the bus, "What is B DAY?" I just waved and smiled.

Ten days before the expected date the sign in the window read, "10 DAYS UNTIL BA-- DAY." Still the people wondered. The next day it read, "9 DAYS UNTIL BAB- DAY," then "8 DAYS UNTIL BABY DAY," and my fans finally knew what was happening.

By then, my following had grown to include twenty or thirty different busses and cars. Every night they watched to see if my wife had given birth. Excitement grew as the number decreased. My fans were disappointed when the count reached "zero" without an announcement. The next day the sign read, "BABY DAY 1 DAY LATE," and I pretended to pull out my hair.

Each day the number changed and the interest from passing cars grew. When my wife was fourteen days overdue she went into labor, and the next morning our daughter was born. I left the hospital at 5:30am, screamed my joy into the still morning air and drove home to sleep. I got up at noon, showered, bought cigars, and appeared at my window in time for my fans. My co-workers were ready with a banner posted in the window:

"IT'S A GIRL!"

I wasn't alone that night. My co-workers joined me in celebration. We stood and waved our cigars in the air as every vehicle which passed acknowledged the birth of my daughter. Finally, the bus from the docks made its turn onto the overpass and began to climb the hill. When it drew close, I climbed onto the window ledge and clasped my hands over my head in a victory pose. The bus was directly in front of me when it stopped dead in heavy traffic, and every person on board stood with their hands in the air.

Emotion choked my breathing as I watched the display of celebration for my new daughter. Then it happened: a sign popped up. It filled the windows and stretched half the length of the bus, "CONGRATULATIONS!"

Tears formed in the corners of my eyes as the bus slowly resumed its journey. I stood in silence, as it pulled from view. More fans passed and tooted their horns or flashed their lights to display their happiness, but I hardly noticed them, as I pondered what had just happened.

My daughter had been born fourteen days late. Those people must have carried the sign, unrolled, on the bus for at least two weeks. Everyday they had unrolled it and then rolled it back up.

We all have a clown inside of us. We need to let it free and not be surprised at the magic it can create. For eight months I had made a fool of myself, and those people must have enjoyed the smiles I gave them, because on the happiest day of my life they had shown their appreciation.

It has been more than 18 years since that special time, but on my daughter's birthday I always remember the special gift they gave me.

And Soon Spring Will be Sprung

This past weekend was truly spectacular. I look forward to this time of the year here in Northern Ontario. It is when we celebrate our family heritage with a tradition passed down through the families. That tradition is one where a few families get together to and gear up to collect sap from the maple trees to make syrup.

Traditions are the guideposts driven deep in our subconscious minds. The most powerful ones are those we can't even describe and aren't even aware of.- Ellen Goodman

If you have never sampled this golden nectar from God, then you are missing one of natures treasures.

This weekend we readied the sugar shack for production by cutting and piling lots of wood. The wood is used to run the boiler(s) which render the Maple sap in to Syrup.
After the wood cutting we all sit down to a meal of Chili and Hot dogs. The kids love it. As the Sugar Shack is fired up into production many meals will be prepared and made right there. This creates memories in children that cannot be forgotten.

Fresh air, Beautiful bright sunny days, the sounds of woodpeckers returning after a long winter break and wildlife running around everywhere. These are days I treasured as a child and pass on to my children. It is chance to shed the winter Blah's and awaken to a new rebirth of Spring.

Pillar #3. Company. Can I pick the Winner this time?

This is one of the elements that you actually get to control. You and only you can pick the company that you want to be associated with. So we will tell you some things to look for and hopefully offer you some sound advice.

I want to start with some advice. Do your Homework. Before you choose the company you are about to devote your spare time to, make sure they have some sound practices.

Many will tell you to look for a company that has been around since cheese was invented. That, could not be further from the truth, unless of course you are only looking to have a hobby, make a FEW dollars in your spare time and spend lots of hours trying to build something that can’t be done.

If you are looking to make the big bucks you will need to find a company with solid leadership. The leaders in a company absolutely must have a vision of YOUR prosperity, not saving the blue-eared tick-tailed dingo-dog in a foreign land.

Are the tools in place for you to become successful? And, how much do they cost? Training is number one. If you don’t have a complete, systemized training program that can take the first-time marketer, or the seasoned veteran, through the process quickly and efficiently, they will fail. Your time is better spent promoting, rather than developing, a process.

“Go with a company listed on the NADAQ”. That was, at one time, a good thing. It showed stability and a company that was in for the long run. Today however, markets have changed. Ask yourself this, do you want to be on a team that has your best interests at heart OR the stockholders. Hmmmm!

There are associations today that were formed to protect you, the distributor, from malicious attacks by companies. http://www.mlm-dra.com/ is the website for the Distributor Rights Association. MLM Watchdog http://www.mlmwatchdog.com/ is the website to keep you notified of SCAMS and ripoffs. Yes, Dorothy ripoffs are out there.

Find a company that has low enrollment costs. That gives you some time to feel the water. Sometimes the picture is painted very rosy UNTIL you join. Then you find there is no upline support, no customer service support, poor shipping, and delays in returning calls if they ever do.

Every time we have ever seen a company or down-line explode and go away, it does so because of the same 2 reasons: GREED and EGO. Don’t get married to your company. This is business, if things don’t feel quite right to you, then they probably are not. Do not be blinded by the hype and propaganda.

True leaders are the Mentors with the servant's heart. Build people and people will build the business. The idea behind the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.

People are people. They are not a number. They have goals, dreams & desires. Network marketing is not a sales business. Network marketing is a teaching & mentoring referral business.

These are basic principles to be successful. If a business is not easy to do, simple to understand, people won’t do it.

What makes a River?

Each river starts with a drop of water. Rivers change the landscape by one drop being added to the trickle, forming the stream combining in to the river where it becomes unstoppable.

If you ever think for a moment that your voice has no significance, remember these words.

"Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation." - John F. Kennedy

Just as change is brought on by one voice added to another. That is how the will of the people is brought unto nations. That is OUR history, one voice added to another to build a free country. That is how we will overcome all the adversity that will soon be upon us, one voice added on to another.

It doesn't matter which country or faith you are from, this is the process of change. One voice added on to another.

Now break this down to your own personal mindset. Change in your life can be brought on by changing one small habit, saying one small affirmation. Your voice to yourself can create the river of change as soon as you quit thinking, "I can't." The sooner you can understand this concept the swifter the change will be.

Why Should Passion Drive You

Can you imagine living a life without passion?

Imagine how bland it would be. Like a colorless painting.
Passion is how we breath life into our dreams. It is through this emotion that our dreams begin to take shape and then crystallize into reality.

Of the successful people I know, this is a common shared emotion. They first envision what it is they want and then truly believe they will have it. They work their way through every problem with passion and commitment.

The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.

Life, truly is best enjoyed when it is lived with passion and conviction.

Far to many people have lost the ability to conjure up this emotion. It could be because they have stopped growing and learning. Learning is our life cycle.

Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.

Right now trends would tell us, and you have all heard this, Baby Boomers are the driving force in the market place. What do they want? They want products that will help them stay young, cheat death, look good and give them a lifestyle they want.
Heck, every body wants that. Right?

So if the health and wellness industry is going to be a Trillion dollar industry within the next 5 years. Would it make sense to market a product that people would buy or are you going to try and sell them saddle soap.

It IS about selling a product that people want. You and your product must be Remarkable. People have to Want It, the market trend must be ready for it.

Market trends work in cycles. When the economy slouches, job insecurity is high, people flood to the home based business market. What brought you here? Chances are there are thousands just like you. When the economy is booming then there is a drop in the home based business market. That makes sense, right? What are the world economies suggesting right now. If you research you will probably find insecurity in many different markets. These trends happen about every 8 – 12 years. Trends would suggest that people are looking for additional paycheck security.

How would you like to be selling against other distributors for the same product. Not only do you have competition from the rest of the marketplace, but from your own distributors. Some of those distributors think slashing prices and giving heavy discounts is the way to make money. It isn’t. It destroys the market and confuses the customer on the perceived value of the product.

Once the ‘Discount Wars’ have started it is usually too late to make a profit margin. That shows me that a market is saturated. When a market is saturated, you will work long hours frustrating yourself trying to find a niche market to make something work that simply cannot. You must make a profit every time you sell a product.

So, if all the major leaders made their money because they were there when the doors opened, then, would it make sense to you to join in a business that was “Brand Old or Brand New”?

When the timing is right, NON-network marketers will take your product to the marketplace.

Managing Personal Growth

Today I wanted to give you a treat. Here is a story sent to me from Bob Proctor "Insight of the Day"

When I first saw that my employer offered a class called "Managing Personal Growth," it sounded like a seminar that would help me to obtain a promotion. Advancement, economic security, stability, the American Dream, just what I wanted out of life.

However, strange things happened when the "pre-workshop test" forced me to rank my life values in order of importance.The values I ranked most important turned out to be love, family, religion, health, inner harmony and freedom. Every one of my high-ranking values was contrary to the life I lived. I had built my career and my life around avoiding time to promote these values.

Some of the values I ranked the lowest on the "test" included wealth, advancement, stability and conformity. Yet those were the areas where I spent most of my waking hours. These values were false gods, yet I worshipped them constantly.

Take love and affection, the value I ranked the highest. I spent a small fraction of my time actually practicing love and affection. I certainly loved no one at work, and my work schedule forced me to spend minimal time with the family and friends I loved.

Family ranked second on my list of values. Not only did I barely see my immediate family, I often made excuses to avoid going to any family functions. If I did show up, I left as early as possible. Life was too stressful to linger.

Religion, third on my list, was a real joke. I constantly vowed to give my life to God, yet sometimes didn't think about Him all day. Hardly ever did I feel like going to church. After all, I worked hard and deserved to sleep in late on Sunday.

Fourth on my list of values was health. I knew what I should and should not eat, drink and smoke, yet junk food continued to dominate my life, and I never refused an offer of a glass of wine or beer. I let my self get stressed out every day, and often opted for television over exercise.

The fifth most important value on my list was inner harmony. What a fantastic concept! Somewhat foreign, though. Will I never be happy until I obtain inner harmony? It's sort of a vicious circle. If no happiness, then no inner harmony. Yet if no inner harmony, then no happiness. No wonder humanity is always torn by the devil taunting us with negativity.

Freedom was my sixth highest value. Yet I chose a profession that chained me to a desk that I detested. Most of my "to do list" was based on someone else's ideas of what was important. Freedom to be my own boss remained a dream due to self imposed barriers.

In addition, I found that the values I ranked lowest on the test were those that I was committed to the most.The value I ranked lowest was money, yet it was something I thought of quite often. How to make more, how to spend less, how to buy all of the things I wanted.

Advancement or promotion also ranked low on my list. Yet dreams of the boss's job and plotting how to advance took more time than dreaming of my so called priorities.Conformity was the final value that I ranked low. If it was so unimportant, why did I often nod in agreement when I didn't agree, or long for the material goods of someone else?

It's strange that God chose a work related training course to finally let me see what's really important.And it's not my job.

I stopped in to the grocery store yesterday to pick up a few items for supper. When I got to the counter, the young lady proceeded to dump my basket on to the conveyor belt. Then she noticed that she had dumped bean-sprouts everywhere that were in a bag. Realizing her mistake, she began to apologize profusely. I told her it didn’t matter they were only bean-sprouts. She told me how many people would get upset and yell at her for her clumsiness. I remembered these words and said, “Nothing is Anything, until we make it Something.”

“Nothing is Anything, until we make it Something.”, she repeated that phrase over and over again. She said “What an interesting philosophy. How TRUE are those words?”It was like a light came on in the ladies eyes.

I am always amazed that we can meet students of philosophy anywhere. You can only echo your kindness to others. So, the next time you think about getting upset over the trifle issues in the day remember these words..

Updates Galore!

Thank you everyone for your patience. This has been a very busy new year.

I wanted to take a moment and give you some updates. Last year in an article called the Angels Voice, I told you a story of a friend of mine who had began a journey of making her dreams a reality. This was done with some coaching and teaching her some fundamental skills of money management we call, "The Six Jars"

We were all at a birthday party just recently. One that my friend had saved the money for herself and paid for the whole shot. This is in less than 90 days after going on the money management program. I was so very proud when her husband approached me and Thanked us for the work we had done. It was amazing to look at the youth return to the eyes and souls of this couple. For once in their marriage, there is hope for them to have all the things they ever dreamed of.

How Tall Are You?

Interesting question isn't it? I don't mean literally 'How Tall are you'.

In speaking with people every day I am amazed at What can take them out of the game.
The game of life, the game of business the game of relationships. How strong you believe in Yourself, your goals, your future is paramount in How successful you will be at achieving those things.

If the slightest thing can become an obstacle then you aren't very committed are you?

When we teach our team members money management skills, we groom them for financial freedom. When asking some people to open up a number of different bank accounts some are stopped by a $4 service charge on the account. The $4 fee becomes their focus and actually prevents them from becoming more.

Can you learn to be Taller than your obstacles? If you can learn how to develop your belief level in yourself, you will become bigger than any problem that comes along.

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal. - Henry Ford

I hear it often said that 95% of people FAIL at starting a new business. That is not because they have to have a special education. It is not because there is not a duplicatable system in place. It is not because they don't have the finances.

It is because they lack only one component. DESIRE. If you are committed to having more, then your Desire must be so big that you cannot be stopped by a service fee, rejection from a customer, a lack of money or any other obstacle. It is Determination of Desire and Focusing on the Objective that makes 5% of people successful. The other 95% are Lemmings heading for the edge of the cliff.

I have met people in business that started with grade 5 education, or physical and mental disablities, or busted broke couldn't even put gas in their car. Yet they all made it to the top. They were all un-stoppable. Their DESIRE for something more was so strong that nothing could stand in their way. They would step over every challenge and adversity presented.

Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture... Do not build up obstacles in your imagination.- Norman Vincent Peale

HAPPY Belated NEW YEARS!

Happy New Year to all of you. My apologies for not posting during the holiday season. Our family used the time to relax with each other and appreciate our family and friends.

Now it is back to the real world in hopes of getting caught up with the backlog of Things-To-Do listings.

This past holiday season had many up times for our family and a few not-so good times also. That, I believe can be expected. The world does not stop spinning just because there is a season of joy.

I am sure that everyone is aware of the disaster in Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Our prayers go to the families of those who lost loved ones in that tragedy. This is a very dark way to start a new year, but I would like to share some thoughts at this moment. I was taught that, "No man shall pass into the garden, without first giving his life-force up for a greater purpose".

Although, I cannot imagine which purpose would require 150,000 souls, I am sure as the years go by the story will reveal itself.

I choose to take this time to be very grateful for my family and friends. Do not take people for granted. Life can be taken in the blink of an eye as we saw with this major event and with one closer to home, with one of our young friends. Josh, at the age of 26 years, passed suddenly this past weekend. Family and friends were devastated, to say the least, at this young mans passing. As a parent, I cannot begin to imagine the mothers grief. I can only pray for her peace in her heart and hope that the pain passes.

Time to Heal and Time to Grow. That is the order of the future. That is what it holds for all of us. Time to Heal and Time to Grow.

Please, take this year and Heal the many scars that have presented themselves on you. Take the time to become more and be thankful for all the many blessings you have. It starts with just acknowledging that you are very blessed.

How versus Why!

We have been teaching folks like yourself the ease of duplication. You can show someone the "HOW" and they still will not do it.

I get frustrated sometimes trying to teach simple concepts to those who will NOT use them. If you were to set Gold in front of most of these people they would not pick it up, it would be too much work to find a wheel barrel and a shovel. And THEN they would have to march it over to the assay office, "Why bother?!" Too much work.

Or, maybe just maybe it is a lack of focus. People have to know WHY they need to do these things. These processes that can make them rich are only dreams until they focus on Why they want more in their lives.

I believe we need to review our goals, our Why, regularly. Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly and so on. Is your goal to be Financially Free? Then Why do you want to be Financially free? Is it because you want to show off or Prove to others that you can do it. Or is it because you want to lead by example for your children's sake.

The Why is the most important tool in a Trainers arsenal. If the people you coach will not reveal their Why to you, then they are not likely revealing it to themselves. Help them through this process, sometimes you will need to play hardball with them. However, I will tell you this, until a WHY is known, the HOW won't make a darn bit of difference.

Ralph Emerson missed the point of, Be who you dream to be, in a world where people want you to remain the same is a greater accomplishment.

The real challenges are avoiding cynicism. Eliminating hatred, envy, jealousy and selfishness. Spread Love. At this time of the year, so many of us, in the new world celebrate a birthday of someone who was all about Love and understanding and I don't mean Richard Simmons.

Napoleon Hill said, "Develop Love for all humanity, because a negative attitude towards others can never bring you success".

I am looking forward to spending this special time of the year with my family and sharing the love we have for each other. Our house, like the house I was raised in is full of love. Getting together with family is not something hard to do it is something we all look forward to. My only regret is that we have to go back to our lives apart from each other so soon.

My 4 sons are my life. They are my reason, my Why. This Christmas Holiday will be a special one with all of us together. Aunts and Uncles will be stopping by. The only living adopted Grandparent will share Christmas with us. Friends will stop by all to be a part of this years holiday.

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Where have you been Hiding?

Have you ever spent a day or two looking for something and you can't find it? It turns out it was right in front of you the whole time. You must have looked at it a thousand times and didn't see it. That filtered vision or Reticular Activating System keeps you from seeing the very thing you seek the most.

Yesterday, I decided to pack some trails in the snow to feed the deer in my yard. We are having an unusual amount of snow for December. As I started packing down the trails I noticed the deer have a runway that they use, every day, not 50 meters from our house at the edge of the forest.
I placed some oats and corn around the yard and within 2 hours two white tailed deer were standing in the yard and eating the grain. Nancy loved it. They are such a graceful animal and quite large.

I thought, I wonder How many times have I been looking out the window and a deer has been standing there looking back at me. Lo and behold, when I looked out there was a deer standing right in the brush looking at me. It was so well camouflaged for animal that is so large. If I moved an inch in either direction it would seem to disappear from my sight. But, with a flick of its tail or a wiggle of an ear, it would reveal its position again.

How many Opportunities do we miss in life, even though we are looking? We stare straight at them, but a deviation of mere inches away from our focused goal and the opportunity appears to vanish.

Napoleon Hill said, "Every Adversity, every Failure and every heartache carries with it the Seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit."

Looking for those seeds can be painstakingly difficult if you waiver from your goal.

I have a friend who was helping me focus on a goal. Together a team of us in our Mastermind group were focusing on a particular opportunity. We watched as the opportunity would disguise itself and reappear again. Many of us could see it, it stood clear in front of us, yet my friend who had lost his focus could not see the very objective he had our team watching for so very long.

It was disheartening to watch him get left behind and in turn have so very much animosity towards his old friends for moving on. Even when we tried to point out the goal, he refused to look and see it. Now he does not believe that there was ever such a goal.

Keep focused on your objectives. Chasing your dreams can seem like a hard task at times. Don't let the objective disguise itself from you. Let Faith drive you forward and the opportunity will reappear.

Never deviate from your path. Let no obstacle block you or turn you away, because each step forward is a step closer to living your dream.

What's Love Got to do with it!?

The last of the Seven Virtues is the one that most people have the most difficult time with.

Love has everything to do with your Wealth and your Success. Here is the key. First you must Love yourself. Love yourself or you can't love anyone or anything else.

A friend of mine taught me a long time ago, that you have to be able to stand in front of the mirror, look at yourself and say, "I Love You". Learn to look past all the imperfections. Learn to look past your old belief's and just say, "I Love You!"

I have a friend. She is a wonderful person. A pillar of the community. Always there to help others, always giving of herself. Yet she can't understand her sadness. Her and her husband argue often and don't get along well. There is so much negative between the two, that tension fills the air when they are together. They can't even love each other, even though they have invested many years in to their marriage. I asked her if she Loved herself and her response floored me, "What is there to love?" " I am Fat, I am Ugly. What is there to Love?" Her words tore my heart out.

I see nothing but beauty in this person. So much compassion towards others and yet no compassion towards herself. She is beginning to understand that only she can change her world. Change it by developing a new belief. A belief in herself.

You see so many people that feel their self-worth is of little value. Poor eating habits, smoking, drinking, mutilating their bodies with piercing and tattoos. True Love for yourself, True Health is when we STOP treating our bodies Lovelessly. This vessel is what carries our soul through life. Why would you want the ship to sink before it reached its destination.

This world cannot survive without you. You have a purpose to fulfill. First you must fulfill loving yourself and then others. Then, the world will find you and lift you up and complete you.

What do you believe?

Your ultimate success in anything you do, hinges on your belief that you can accomplish your goal. That brings us to today’s Virtue topic – FAITH.

Without FAITH, you can never succeed. I know a lot of people believe that Faith should be something they have in someone else, God, whatever. I want you to read the opening quote again. Believe in yourself enough to realize it is you that controls your life.

You might think to yourself things like “I Can’t”. That comes from a lack of Faith in your own abilities. I believe this, there is a banquet of prosperity in front of you and most people eat the crumbs off the table.

Please do yourself a favor and quit believing that you don’t deserve to sit at the banquet table. Have Faith in yourself above anything else. There is only one person who can save you – YOU!

Who makes you prosperous – YOU
Who creates your life – YOU
Who is your judge – YOU
Who is your Jury – YOU

Martin Luther King really had it pegged didn’t he? Step forward if you fail, you can start again. You don’t know a path until you start down it. Believe in what you are doing.

So then, How do you build Faith in yourself? How do you have Faith in what you do?

I believe if you use daily affirmations, your paradigm, will slowly shift and you will see change happening. If you are looking for Faith in what you do, then research will help you. If you don’t believe in what you are doing, chances are you are probably doing the wrong thing.

Here are a few Affirmations that I teach people to use on a daily basis.

“I Create my Life. I create the exact amount of my financial success.”

“Lucrative Opportunities always come my way”

“I am truly grateful for all the blessings in my life”

Try these for a few days, see if they help change your outlook on life.

I'm Not As Thunk As You Drink I Am!

Back in my more foolish days, I followed a mistake that many people make. I thought that booze helped you relax from your problems. A Mini Holiday, so to speak. The problem with that thinking is of course, the solution is worse than the cure. The alcohol led to depression, which led to more alcohol, which led to food binge eating, more depression and the cycle continued.

Standing in front of a mirror and looking at yourself with different eyes changed my life forever. I am not going to say I had an AHA! I just decided that this method was not working. Has that ever happened to you?

Have you ever had to take control of your life and move forward? Change comes with changing a small habit. Mine was to change my eating and drinking habits. The result of that was changing my thinking habits and so on...

I see people wait for salvation and stand ready for someone else to take charge of their life and fix all the problems. THAT will never happen.

"I am the Angel I have been praying for to come and save me." - Jack Foriska

You are your salvation and only you can institute change upon yourself. That can start with this one virtue. Temperance

By definition Temperance is (1) : moderation in action, thought, or feeling : RESTRAINT (2) a) : habitual moderation in the indulgence of the appetites or passions b) : moderation in or abstinence from the use of intoxicating drink

Moderation in thought, action, feeling, food, habitual nature. Our lifestyle is killing us because of this forgotten exercised Virtue of Temperance.

"It is better to rise from life as from a banquet -- neither thirsty nor drunken." Aristotle

Greed and Gluttony would be the opposing sins of Temperance. An inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.

Resistance to urges which develop in to addictions. Temperance was my salvation. Abstinence from the vices that tied my dreams and bound my life to a belief created in my mind that I was leading a destined life. There was no destined life. It was mine all along, to develop and design in whichever order I wanted.

JUSTICE. How fair are you?

An interesting insight was sent to me this morning that I would like to share...

"Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not the one that has better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on one's ideas, to take a calculated risk - and to act." Dr. Maxwell Maltz Author of "Psycho-Cybernetics"

Courage is quite a virtue to develop, isn't it? It is so encompassing. Having the courage to move forward or to make those miniscule changes in our habits can be scary.

Now on to our next Virtue, JUSTICE!

What I see in some people in their quest for wealth or knowledge is a lack of fairness. Justice is that, a sense of fairness, Justness, impartial decisions.

It is not about controlling other people as some would think, but rather controlling your urge to act in the ME, ME, ME state. Considering others decisions and exercising fair and impartial judgment this would not seem to be much of a problem.

The consideration with Justice is understand and be compassionate to the decisions and opinions of others. Too often we see, "Its my way or the highway!", that is, to some, exercising justness.

The corruption in that thinking is we create a 2 dimensional world of Black & White. You are either right or you are wrong. If you are not against justice of terrorism, you must be for terrorism. You are either for religion or you must be against God. If you are not for the Leaders agenda then you must be against the company or country. Being Fair and Impartial fall far outside those strict guidelines. I want you to look at the following quote by Edmund Burke.

"Justice is itself the great standing policy of civil society; and any eminent departure from it, under any circumstances, lies under the suspicion of being no policy at all. "

Is this Justice or judgment? Is this Policy or Law? Is there impartiality in this statement?
Are our Laws and Rules disguised under Justice to control and exercise judgment?
I like this following quote that seems to sum it up...

"The more laws, the less justice." - Charles Churchill

Consider how your decisions effect others, that is the key. Is your Success a result of standing on the shoulders of others or is it one of justness and appreciating that we are varied in our opinions, we are varied in our perspective of a query or problem.

Justice is being fair in your judgment. Impartial to others belief's.

What the Bleep Is Life Without Hope

Yesterday, Nancy and I went to see the new movie "What The Bleep We Know".

It was an amazing picture, with an even more amazing message. Upon leaving the theatre, I felt like a child who had just been told he can go to the store on his own for the first time. Mostly in awe, disbelief that I am actually allowed to have the life I choose just by changing some small habits. The tie between Quantum Physics, the Science of the brain and the relationship of our minds with our addictions were all subjects brought forward in an elegant manner.

If you have the opportunity to see the movie, please take the time to go.

It did more than give me HOPE for the future, it let me know that there is more than Hope. When you change your thinking, you change your addiction to old habits and everything else begins to fall into place.

HOPE is one of the seven Virtues that distinguishes the ordinary from the extraordinary. With HOPE we can move mountains.

With HOPE we have a feeling that what is wanted will happen. It is a Promise of success.

A Promise of Success. The Universes way of rewarding you for having passion towards your ultimate goal. Hope comes from the realm of the spiritual.

The Angels Voice Could Not Be Silenced

Before starting today's topic, I must share a story of a friend of mine.

This is a success story that is evolving and it brings to it such a positive power of what happens when we open our eyes, manage our life and develop new skills.

A couple of months ago a friend stopped by and for some unknown reason she began to unload about her life. You see her Dream was to become a singer and, trust me, she has the voice of an Angel. She told me about how her and her husband had made a promise that as soon as they got the bills paid she was going to cut a CD with her songs that she has written and performs. I told her, "What you Focus on Expands. If you focus on Debt, you will get more debt."

Now this wonderful lady never gets up in front of a large crowd to share her god-given talents. Yet when you look in to her eyes, distantly, there is so much passion there about her dream. We had a long conversation and I asked her if she was willing to Commit to a new way of thinking about money-management. She kindly agreed and I put her on a program where she would now focus on Financial Freedom and not on Debt. I told her this would take some time to develop. She would need to dedicated to it, sensible and use some new found common-sense.

It has been a little over a month for her now and I have to share her results. In just one month and a half, this lady has gone from $0.00 in Savings, Credit card debt out the wazoo and a life full of stress and tension to,... realizing her dream will come true probably by this February. Her credit card debt is now down to one small monthly payment. She has, for the first time in her life, opened a Savings account, is teaching this process to her children who are better at it than she is AND has a fund for her Singing Career at a point where she can afford the studio time very shortly.

I wish you could have been there to see her face. I wish you could have seen the smile and the sparkle of life in her eyes. Pure Joy! From the Heart Joy. Like the weight of the world had been lifted from her heart. It was a Spectacular sight! One that I will never forget.

I love to be able to touch peoples lives the way we do. I love to share these stories with others and show them that, HOPE is right in front of you. Life can change forever in an instant once you wake up. Her comment was,"Dan, we have to teach this to everyone" and I told her, sadly we can't. We can't help people that don't want to be helped. If people are not willing to open there eyes because they are afraid of living, we cannot help them. No One Can!

Your life becomes what you make it. Your Outer, Physical world is only a reflection of your Inner World.

What goes on in your head?

This wonderful lady had discovered the Power of just one of the Seven Virtues.

Prudence!

Prudence is being cautious, sensible, managing carefully, self-restraint, circumspect, common-sense.

"Discretion suggests wise self-restraint, as in resisting a rash impulse: The better part of valor is discretion (Shakespeare).

It is PRUDENCE that protects us from our own ignorance, from our past Bad Habits. Exercising it seems to be a difficult task for most people today. We get caught in the trappings of our past beliefs. (You have all heard my Rant on that). To me, Prudence is a Gut-Feeling an exercise in your Wisdom.

It protects us from our own Pride and the rest of the Seven Sins.

"What is Common-Sense to some, would seem to be UNcommon-Sense to most others."

It is one of the Virtues that so many find so difficult to control. With its control, your life will change for the better.

What is Wisdom?

According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, by definition Wisdom is;

1a) : accumulated philosophic or scientific learning : KNOWLEDGE b) : ability to discern inner qualities and relationships : INSIGHT c) : good sense : JUDGMENT d) : generally accepted belief 2 ): a wise attitude or course of action 3) : the teachings of the ancient wise.

The pursuit of Knowledge, Insight, judgment and other Virtues should be the purpose of mankind. I believe we haven't began to discover our abilities. We have not yet evolved into what we are supposed to be.

Some would argue evolution, I am not here to debate that issue other than to say, The World is changing, humanity is changing, religion, spirituality, common-sense are all changing. I talked yesterday about being Lost. I believe the Universe is going to present you with many decisions, problems and rewards throughout your life. How you handle those decisions, how you gain the Wisdom is by living Virtuously.

I want to look at "The Virtues", what they are and how we can use them to lead a more productive life. The classical Greek philosophers considered the foremost virtues to be Prudence, Temperance, Courage and Justice. Early Christian Church theologians adopted these virtues and considered them equally important to ALL people. Theological virtues were added, Love, Hope and Faith.

Books have been written on all of these virtues, at best we will briefly touch on them and see how we can apply their qualities into our life to make it better.

SEVEN SINS

So many people, know and focus on the seven deadly sins. It is remarkable to think so much time can be wasted on them. Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Anger, Greed and Sloth. How many people do you know that, if they would let go of those bad qualities it would make them better.
Sloth for example , is not only about the avoidance of work it is also about the avoidance of Spiritual Work. Your personal development. If you are not Growing, You are dying.

"Sloth makes all things difficult, but industry, all things easy. He that rises late must trot all day, and shall scarce overtake his business at night, while laziness travels so slowly that poverty soon overtakes him." - Benjamin Franklin

To counter Sloth one must show Courage with patient endurance. Courage isn't about going out and slaying the dragon and saving the princess or about laying down your life for a cause.

Courage is about facing each day with remarkable fortitude. Show the Universe that you can handle adversity and rise above that which might stop so many others. Courage is, not giving up, being diligent in your cause to become a better person. Facing the demons of your past belief's and conquering the negativity which has kept you from achieving your goals your whole life.

Are You Lost?

I was browsing back through some of my old journals and came across an interesting comment that I would like to share, but first.

For those of you who do not keep journals of your thoughts and feelings, you are missing an opportunity to gauge your personal development. That can be the one thing that gets you off course in your development program, The Lack of Seeing Results. Seeing RESULTS keeps you in the game.

Back to the story now. I was writing thoughts on an experiment being done with Earth Batteries and Free Energy devices in general. For those of you who have never experimented with Natural Energy, I believe you are missing a great understanding of how our planet works. It goes far past Physical results and manifests itself into so many things, like your bond with the planet.

"I don't believe everyone can grasp the concepts of natural energy. Like Ants in a colony, or bees in a hive, We each have a job to do. A Purpose, and that purpose is to better mankind collectively. To many, we have Lost our way. We have become the un-guided giving up our spirituality, giving up our bond with Natural Energy, giving up our Spirit Guides. Not living our PURPOSE."

"This Energy wants to be discovered, it is our natural evolution and nature will not be held back for long. If you do not live your Purpose then you will be left behind. You will remain, Lost."

I believe our Natural Quest, our Purpose, on this planet is the acquisition of Knowledge. It is our natural evolution. However, so many have given up. They have resigned their right to a better life. A life of abundance.

We wait to be guided, we wait to be lead, we wait for salvation, we wait for someone to take care of us. Just like a child LOST in the woods.

Complaints Department...Next Aisle!

This morning I awoke to find 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground. The radio announcer was complaining about the snow, the people at the coffee shop were complaining about the snow, YET...

My son was just bouncing off the walls, he was so happy to see the snow on the ground. It means building snow forts, snowball fights and just looking at the path you leave when you are the first one down the driveway. Such enthusiasm could not be contained. I loved his excitement, I choose to see the world through his eyes this morning.

Have you ever noticed how many people complain about their life, yet do little to improve it.

T Harv Eker says, "When you spend your life complaining, you become a Giant Crap Magnet"

In other words you draw unto yourself all the despair in your life. It is not an easy thing to keep a positive outlook all the time. But , it is MOST necessary if you want to change your paradigm and change what is currently going on.

Life Responds To Your Outlook!

Here is your challenge.... Go 7 days without complaining and watch the change in the things that come to you. Now understand this, You have been complaining a long time so you may still have some crap coming your way. That is the thing about crap, it moves at the speed of crap.

Every time you find yourself about to complain about some thing or some one, just say to yourself, "Thank You for sharing", and move along. If you find yourself around others who are complaining, get the heck away from them. They will Suck the Life out of you.

It amazes me how this can even tie in to Quantum Physics. Your wishing bad on yourself or others can effect your Health and your Wealth. Your Success is tied to your Outlook.

MONEY Means Nothing to Me!

How many times have you heard that "Money is not important to me."?

"It is better to be poor than rich." "Rich People are greedy"
"Money is the root of all evil."

It truly amazes me in this day and time that people think that money has no bearing on their life. It amazes me that people still hold on to those old belief's of lack and poverty and they hold them high as if it were some sort of Honor to be Poor. You are closer to God or whatever your belief may be.

Yesterday as I was strolling on the internet, I came across a Forum where the following was actually posted as a question,

"One person has $10.00 in the bank, another person $10,000.00, and yet another person has $1,000,000.00 in the bank. Each wants to spend to make a contribution, who will most likely have the greatest impact?"

The responses were in the favor of the $10 person having the greatest contribution because their gift means more than the other persons.

I don't have to tell you that this made my blood boil. I would hazard to guess, that the person who has $1,000,000.00 in the bank is the person who is best exercising Money Management Skills. Most, not all, money managers believe that tithing is part of the earning process.

In a survey conducted by USA Today, it was discovered that American's number one fear is running out of money. Not cancer, not crime, running out of money at an old age.
In Robert Kiyosaki's book - Who Stole My Money, Mr. Kiyosaki talks about the Game of Money and how important it is to win the Game.

T. Harv Eker in his Millionaire Mind Intensive speaks of "Winning The Money Game". If you are not trying to acquire enough wealth to support yourself, who is going to take care of you?

Lack in the "Money Department" may be due to the lack of Mastering it.

Awaken The GIANT!

You, me, everyone has within them the power to accomplish ANY task.

I call it the Sleeping Giant. The Sleeping Giant lies dormant in you until you are ready to summon it up. You are its Master, only you can control it. Once Tamed it will serve you and grant all your wishes, but, use caution, it will grant you good and bad wishes.

Inside that Brain of yours lies your Sub-Conscious. Over 4 Billion impulses per second are going on back and forth between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. THAT is a lot of chatter. You Conscious mind can only process about 2000 impulses per second, the rest is the talk of your Sub-conscious.

To awaken your sub-conscious, to tap its resources it will take 3 commands.
Desire, Imagination and Expectation.

Desire is the FUEL. It is Passion in the belly of the beast. When you want to bring your goals to reality, you have to want it so bad you can taste it.

Imagination is used as the canvas on which you will paint your future picture. It must be full of color and detail and show exactly what you want. It must be a work of art and challenge all your senses.

Expectation - Expecting what you are going to do is already working for you. FAITH is the command to build and nurture. Expect nothing less than exactly what you want. A great example of Expectation working against you is Superstition. How many of us Hex ourselves everyday with limiting belief's.

The Perfect Day!

Have you ever wondered what a perfect day would be?

Would you be happy or sad?
Would you be passionate or blasA?
Would you run to the nearest mountain top and shout or for the whole world to hear?

Let me describe to you what my perfect day is.

This morning when I got up and watched the sun rising over the trees, I noticed how there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The sky shifted to a spectacular blue. The sunlight cast across my yard to reveal a MILLION diamonds sparkling and glittering in the sun. The trees, all of them, were bathed with a coat of white diamonds. Everywhere I looked there was this rich beauty. No wind, no noise (we live in the country), just this peace and calm. The snow which recently fell lay so bright white. The purest white you can imagine. I had to squint my eyes just to look at it.

The first snow of the season always makes me feel like nature is cleansing itself. It is showing us the beauty of it sleeping during the winter months. Calmness, peace all things we should be very Thankful for.

I have the CHOICE to get from this day what I want.

I listened as people moan and groan about how much they hate the snow. How much they hate the cold. They lack the vision to see beauty. They settle for compromise, what a shame.

Yet to me this is a perfect day. The Love of my family, the beauty of nature, the warmth in my soul, all these things tell me this is a Perfect Day.

Every day we are on this planet, living these short blessed years that we have, we have a choice. Each day GRANTED to you is a day of celebration. Each day comes with a blank slate that you can attach any story to. Each day has been given to you as a gift.

Have Purpose or DIE!

So the "Don't Wants" from yesterday got you thinking, did it?!?

My new Mentors, in the Mastermind group that I am with now, have taught me more in one year than I could have learned in a lifetime. They helped me discover my Purpose by asking some very pertinent questions. They were also quite diligent at pushing me, yes pushing me off the couch and back into life.

I Thank these people every day for their presence. Scott and Michael have made me chase my purpose again.

Now you might wonder why I would stop living my life. A few years ago I made a common mistake in investment strategies. I purchased a business and was slowly turning it in to a franchise when the bottom fell out of the market and everything went bad. Despite the fact that we tripled the amount of income and customer base to the business in less than 2 years. Economics and a list of other problems happened which made us close the business and retreat back in to a life of.... well, not positive thinking.

I realized that Fear had become the prevalent emotion. Fear of failure again, fear of life, fear of death, fear, fear, fear.

When I realized that a true warrior is never put down by fear, they get up and keep moving because that is the only way to live life. That is true COURAGE. Facing what is stopping you and moving on that is a genuine life. Finding a WHY strong enough to move you forward. Motivate you and make you act in spite of Fear. That is what a warrior must develop.

We are chameleons, and our partialities and prejudices change place with an easy and blessed facility, and we are soon wonted to the change and happy in it. - Mark Twain

Michael, is getting ready to release his new eBook, and I was fortunate enough to be able to read the draft copy of this, soon to be released, treasure of information. Michael took me back through the exercise again of finding and/or re-defining my purpose with his words. It is hard to believe that it was less than two years ago, I went through this exercise. It seems like it has been my thoughts forever now.

Discovering your purpose is like waking up from a long sleep. When you realize that you have wasted years of your life in pursuit of anything else but your dreams, then, it is like waking up and realizing you over-slept and now you must work twice as hard to accomplish the days tasks.

My Goal In Life Is To.....?

Did you ever have a problem writing down your goals?

I know the first time I tried to do this on paper, I had great difficulty doing it.

What is it I want? Hmmmm?????????

I really didn't know. I could only think of what I did not want. My mentors told me that was not good enough. I had to find the reason to become more, "I Needed to find my WHY".

That can be a nearly impossible to someone who has not been trained to dream. The reality of life for most people is that our education system, our peers, nearly everyone teaches you not to dream. Don't do this you could get hurt. Don't do that you could lose money. Specialize in your education and get a good job.

I had become a product of societal thinking.

"Every man is like the company he is wont to keep." Euripides

You might as well talk in a foreign tongue. My mind could not comprehend what to write down. There were lots of things I wanted but nothing got down to my core desire. I knew, "I want to be rich" was not good enough.

I thought maybe there was something wrong with my thinking. I told my mentors, "I know what I DON'T Want. Is That good enough?" "NO" was their answer.

Here to me is a key element in Success Coaching that most people miss. There is just as much Emotion and Desire in "Not Wanting" as what there is in "Wanting".

Goals are great, but it is a transition, a process that a person needs to go through. So when you are coaching your students, downline, children, whatever, make sure you let them go through this process.

"A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her. " Psalms (ch. LXXV, v. 6)

If you know you you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, that can build enough emotion to make you take action. Following were some of my "Don't Wants". See if any of these sound like your thoughts.

I hated the fact my children were developing my bad habits, I don't want them to make the same mistakes.
I don't want to work to make someone else rich my whole life.
I don't want to live a life of mediocrity
I don't want to say things like, "I should Have" or "I could Have"
I don't want all my Glory Days behind me, in my past
I don't want my grandchildren to live a life of shattered dreams
I don't want my children to know a world of debt
I don't want to wonder if my life could have been different.

There were plenty, as you can see. These are just a few examples. I am sure that you have your own. Do they fill your with a PASSION to change your life?

Those "Don't Wants" were powerful to me and made me take Action to change my life.

Appreciate, This Spiritual Law

InJoy your life! InJoy, InJoy, InJoy!

For you to truly be "In Joy" with your life you need to Appreciate what you already have.

When I coach people on finding success, I tell them to first Appreciate What they have.

If you ain't happy with what you got, you ain't gonna get no more.

"Until you appreciate what you have first. You don't Need any more and you won't Get any more" - T. Harv Eker

It goes back to counting your blessings again. It brings me Joy to count blessings.

Appreciate Your Family, appreciate whatever you have, car, home, etc. Spend 1 minute per day just being Thankful that you live in a country that allows you to have all these blessings.

When you start this process, your life will change. Your heart will fill with JOY!

What The Hell Do You Want That For? - Spiritual Laws

You know I see so many people say, "I want to be rich" or "I just want to be happy".

Their vagueness on the universe is relatively surprising. I feel if you don't know what you want, how will the universe produce it for you.

We talked before about writing things down that Really get your blood going. Things that you have to have or Have to do. When you operate from the 'Have To" it changes your paradigm and shifts your sub-conscious into high gear.

A few years ago I made a promise to myself that my children would become more than what their family history dictated to them. This is not an "I would Like to Have", this is a "MUST HAVE"

Let me explain this. Our family has lived in this Northern community for over 150 years. My ancestors originally moved here as homesteaders. The land was given to them if they would clear the land and work it. Being a remote area at the time created a high sense of "Poverty Mentality". Passed down through time, this mentality seemed to haunt our family. We were content with making enough to get by. Living a meager lifestyle. The cycle continuing and perpetuating.

Today, in this time of opportunity too many people still feel they have to settle for there lot in life. They are not deserving of more. However, I feel this is so untrue.

When you find those things that burn a desire within you. When you figure out WHAT your purpose for money is and know you "Have To" go forward Because, Then you will get what you want.

The universe is going out of its way to make sure you get whatever you want. You, Just have to want it AND you have to be specific.

Make yourself a list of 5 things you MUST have. Five things YOU really WANT, not need.
Ask yourself How your life would be if you had that. Post that list above your desk or on your night stand and then watch the magic happen.

Napoleon Hill spoke of "Definiteness of Purpose". Desire and Faith are the keys to making your Definiteness of Purpose come to crystallization.

Don't Believe a Word I Say!

You know, one of the funniest things that I see people do is believe the
crap that comes out of there own mouths.

I don't mean to sound cynical, however, have you ever noticed that the more ignorant we are about something the louder our voice becomes trying to express our views to others.
It is a need to be right. I have no idea Why we developed this characteristic. Our Belief's just seemed to develop as we walked in transition.

Belief's are the way we base our whole life. What we learned as a small child, carries us forward to this day. The belief's we developed at the age of 10 or 12 are still running us. The best thing we can do is quit believing the stuff that comes from our own mouths. Open our minds to acquiring true wealth and that is KNOWLEDGE!

When we acquire knowledge, riches follow.

Two friends of mine went to see Harv Eker last weekend in Vancouver. The course was the Millionaire Mind Intensive. They shared with us last night the emotions of this life changing event. Imagine waking up in your mid-life to find that the very things you treasure about your reality your belief's, have kept you from accomplishing your goals for your whole life. Imagine finding out that there is no place in your life for Anger, Fear, Quilt and a host of other negative emotions. Imagine having all these false emotions neutralized before you very eyes.

"The person who is aware of themselves is henceforth independent; and is never bored, and life is only too short, and they are steeped through and through with a profound yet temperate happiness." Virginia Woolf

Imagine true happiness when all the fear is gone.

First cast down your burden, then walk with your head held high.

What burdens we carry our whole lives, to lay down only at journeys end.

I was so happy to witness the AWAKENING of my friends. Their journey has just begun.

Spiritual Law - Add Value

Adding Value to other people’s lives. Success training isn’t about trying to figure how much money you can put in your pocket. Success training is about earning your wealth so that you can KEEP it longer.

“Brooks, What do you mean Keep it longer?”

The Universal laws that provided it to you in the first place soon consume anything given and not earned. If you have taken without payment, that is theft and a price must be paid for that.
So lets have a look at this following phrase told to me by Warren Contreras,

”He who helps the most people wins!”

This is a statement of adding Value. So many of our mentors talk about this. I believe it truly reflects what humanity is all about.

You are invited to a Pot Luck Dinner over at your friends house. Every person contributes by bringing a dish of food of some sorts. You, bring nothing.
How do you feel? Is Guilt the predominant feeling that you have right now?
Can you sit at the table with so many others and eat their food? Not likely, you will feel like you are not deserving.

These same underlying principals are at work on your subconscious when you don’t add value to other people’s lives. Subconsciously your guilt may prevent you from being successful, because you have not provided value.

In “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, Hill states that,
“The method by which desire for riches can be transmuted into its financial equivalent, consists of, determining exactly what you intend to GIVE in return for the money you desire.”

His next words really drive the point home,
“There is no such reality as something for nothing”

It's about living true to your purpose. It's about adding your piece of the puzzle to the world. It's about serving others.

Most people are so stuck in their egos that everything revolves around "me, me and more me." But again, it's not about you, it's about adding value to other people's lives.

Buckminster Fuller said, "The purpose of our lives is to add value to the people of this generation and those that follow."

The goal is to share your gifts and value with as many people as possible.

Many people believe you must tithe with money or time or ideas. Whichever works for you is fine. It is paying your dues that counts.

The Thief in The Mind

I hope yesterday had some key insights for you.

I just want to add a few more little things about Fear.

Fear is the Thief of the Mind. It will keep you from accomplishing your goals and fulfilling your purpose. It is the root cause that will hold YOU back. Fear is only a story you have made up in your mind. Your fear is not someone else's.

" The fears of one class of men are not the measure of the rights of another." - Joanna Baillie

So today we have an exercise. We are going to make the invisible, visible. This exercise is going to show you What is Holding You Back.

Write down WHAT you are afraid of. Every little REASON that is holding you back from those dreams you wrote down the other day. Really think about it. Is it, "My Bills, Mortgage, car payments. Is it a loved one or your mate. Is it that you are comfortable where you are."

Comfort can be recognized as a fear also in some cases.

Those reasons that you wrote down. Why You are afraid to do what you want to do, Go tell them to someone and watch them laugh. Those reasons are just the stories You made Up.

Those Reasons give you your little box.

Spiritual Laws - What Is Holding You Back?

So, we have talked about JOY, we have talked about PURPOSE. The highest form of fulfillment is fulfilling your Duty, your Purpose.

"There is no hope of success for the person who does not have a central purpose, or definite goal at which to aim. 98 out of every 100 of those whom I have analyzed had no such aim. Perhaps this is the major cause of their failure.” – Napoleon Hill

These 2 key elements can ensure you happiness and Success. There is a question to be answered then. What is Holding you back?

If you know what it will take to make you happy and successful, why are you not doing it?

The BIGGEST problem that I see in people is FEAR. Some call it a comfort zone. It is not comfortable being miserable and broke. I have been there and it is a disgusting existence.
As many names and faces as I wanted to paint it, it was FEAR! Under all of the misery in my life, it was FEAR. When we let FEAR control our life there is no life. When we take control of fear we take back our life and begin to live from Joy and Purpose.

You have an obligation to live a virtuous life and one of the Virtues is Courage. Courage does not have to mean that you must rescue a damsel in distress, or fight off the evil hordes, which are at the gate. You must have the courage to challenge your own fear and defeat the enemy within you. Fear is keeping you from everything you have ever wanted.

Successful people have Fear. They just don’t let it stop them.

“What about my mortgage?” (said in a whining voice)

“Would you sooner have a Life, or a Mortgage. So many people pick the mortgage.” – T Harv Eker

A mortgage is an obligation. Obligations are just more FEAR’s. It is a ‘Should’ or a “Have-To”. It is just your Opinion. You have made up the fear. You have created the story in the ‘Soap Opera’ of your mind. Fear, is just the minds anticipation of some reaction to a story it has created.

I have a friend, who’s biggest fear is Public Speaking. Personally, I love speaking in public. Anyone can do, it is not hard. The fear, is just a made up story that has been created to protect this persons feelings of being criticized or from being judged by others. It does not make it right or wrong. It is just their story. That is all.

To conquer FEAR, we must stop running, turn and face the demon and figure what it will take to move around it, over it or through it. We must master our fear!

Please re-read Chapter 15 of Think and Grow Rich – The Six Ghosts of Fear by Napoleon Hill. This topic alone can take months to analyze and move past. This is part of the personal development process.

Last issue you wrote down all the things you could do if you had no restrictions.

Spiritual Law of Success - Purpose

Last night I spoke with some friends of mine that just arrived back from "The Millionaire Mind Intensive" by T. Harv Eker in Vancouver, BC. It was amazing to listen to the passion in their voices. They have changed forever, they can never go back to their old life. They have started to live their Purpose.

Passion and Joy, Determination and Focus will ensure their success over the next very short period of time. When you discover your PURPOSE in life, when you discover your DUTY your life changes.

We all have a purpose. The meaning to your life is live your purpose and bring Value to other peoples lives. I believe when we are walking off our path, we are truly in despair. Look around you at the people who are not happy with their circumstance. Some feel that God has given them a bad deal. Some feel that they don't deserve wealth. Some feel that their misery is their pre-destined plan.

You create your life, you create the exact amount of your success. Nobody else can control this but you.

So HOW do we discover what our purpose is?

I want you to sit down and make a list of all your personal talents. These are the things that you can honestly say you are really good at. It has to excite you. You have to feel the passion in your heart when you say it.

Example, "I am really good at telling stories" "I love solving problems." "I am a great musician"

Do you get the idea? It has to have passion.

When you have made your list, look at it and see how many of these skills you are currently using in the career you are in now. If you are not using the Vast majority of your talents, then you probably don't love what you are doing and you are not fulfilling your duty, your dharma.

Here is the part that will rob you of true happiness and Joy in your life.

IF YOU Don't USE It, YOU WILL Lose It!

I am not telling you to quit your job, but you had better ask yourself, "What is keeping you where you are, if you are not happy."

Next step, write as many things as you can about What you would really love to do, Dream BIG!
Remember there are no limits here, no mortgages, no responsibility, no restrictions, just you saying What you would really love to do. "I would Love to be a Pilot. That would be the perfect job" or "I want to be a movie star".

Whatever it is write it down. Look at your list. Do these jobs, things, use your natural talents.

If the answer is "YES", then what is stopping you?

Your life is too short to experience anything less than JOY and Success.

Good Day to you all!

A spectacular day today in Northern Ontario. The sun is bathing us with its warmth. It is a great day to be alive.

In this past few years, our group (mastermind) has grown so much it is hard to recognize people. Their voices have changed, Their confidence has changed, their mannerisms, EVERYTHING!
These are new people now and they can never return to the mediocre life they used to have.
They have become Mentors and Coaches themselves and are now teaching this to so very many people.

Who would have guessed that the realms of the mind, your spirituality, could mean so much in your success.

"Your Thoughts, Lead to Your Feelings, which lead to Your Actions, Which Lead to your Results" - T. Harv Eker

So changing your paradigm is imperative to your success. One of the first places we need to start working on is our happiness.

JOY is a clue from the heart. It is the source of your full power.

Joy is passion, passion creates energy, energy creates enthusiasm. Be passionate about what you are doing. So many people today are not happy. If you do not love what you are doing, then you will most likely never be successful at it. You will be destined to a life of mediocrity.

These people in our group are learning to be passionate with life. Be passionate about what they do. RE-Build their belief system, so that they come from taking Joy in what they do.

To build JOY I ask people to daily list their five successes for that particular day. I don't care how mundane they may seem to others. These are your accomplishments. You have to train your mind to come from the positive and not the negative.

If your WHY is to prove to others that you can be successful, then you will not likely succeed.
"I'll show them. I can be successful. Just you wait and see!"
There is nothing to Prove. If you come from Joy, knowing that you are living life to fullest and providing value to others, then success lies but a few steps away.

For those of you who have a lot of negative in your life or low self-worth and/or low self-esteem. We are currently experimenting with ways to fast-track this healing process. So far the experiment is showing a 95% success rate. We will be sharing these Techniques in the future, in how to heal the Mental realm. All this will come when you are ready to open your mind and discover these natural talents that you have.

You will come from joy quicker. Leave the past behind, come from the Joy of today being the beginning of something new and exciting.

Tomorrow we will learn about "Your Purpose". How to discover what your purpose is. Your highest form of fulfillment is fulfilling your duty, your purpose.

What IF, I Could Fly!

Nancy and I were talking this morning and she told me that, the other day when we were standing on top of the East Bluff in Gore Bay, she looked down and the birds flying below and for that brief moment, she was flying with them. "I pictured myself jumping and stretching my arms out and feeling free of everything. Flying with the birds. Dancing and flighting on the wind" she said.

I stated, wouldn't that be a shame if we really could fly and never stretched our wings to try. Isn't that, like everything else in our lives that we think we can't do. Our barriers are those that we throw up in front of ourselves.

Now I am not telling everyone to go jump off a cliff. Natural law of Physics says we can't do this. Or does it?!

One of the truly remarkable men of the last century never received awards or accolades for any of the miracles he performed. Most people don't even know of the existence of this runt of a man. Yet he made things happen, which to this day cannot be explained.

Long before machinery was made big enough to lift giant blocks of Coral, some 30 tons, this man moved them by himself. No machines, other than a truck to haul them from one location to another. He never revealed his secret, with exception to say, "I have discovered the secret of the Pyramids".

Edward Leedskalnin, was not limited by the boundaries of thought or physics. There was no such thing as thinking you can't. You just do it. His lack of a formal education could have been his blessing as a True Free-Thinker.

Imagine for a moment if you had no boundaries, no borders, you were not limited by the deemed law of physics or any other laws. What would this world be like.

I see the beauty, I see a positive world were the 'Warriors of Light' have killed the darkness which falls upon so many souls. I see an enlightened people seeking true wealth, Knowledge!

COME TO THE ISLAND!

Yesterday, my wonderful Nancy, and I went for a day trip to Manitoulin Island.
Now for those of you not familiar with Ontario/Lake Huron/Canada.

Manitoulin is a Beautiful slate rock & Cedar tree island about 4000 square mile(a guess) in area. Now drop this island in the Northern channel of Lake Huron crystal clear waters.

Back to the story now. It was a spectacular day. Fall crisp, northern fresh air, sunshine and no tourists. We were driving along listening to some power of thinking cd's and realized something very important about ourselves. We were living our WHY!

Our Why, the reason, WE decided to become part of this industry. Spending time enjoying each other. We are very blessed to have our own home business for 15 years, we raised our children and now we are able to spend time together sight-seeing and enjoying where we live first.

Nancy and I, sat on top of the East Bluff in Gore Bay and just admired the view, watched the birds and listened to the waves crashing on the shore a few hundred feet below us. We realized once again, How Blessed we are. It reminded of these words,

"The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate."
Oprah Winfrey - TV Personality, Producer and Author

A few days ago I asked you to start changing your paradigm by listing 5-10 things, daily, that you are grateful for.

I LOVE this saying,

"Until you appreciate what you have FIRST, You won't get anymore" - T Harv Eker

Here is the scenario.

You give a child a toy, they play with it for a few minutes, throw it down and then say, "Get me another one, I want More." "I want that toy now"

Do you buy them another toy? Do you give them More? They don't appreciate what they have NOW!

The universe works in exactly the same manner. Until You appreciate what you have first, You won't get anymore.

Training Saves Lives, Saves Lifestyles, Saves You!

I volunteer my time at our local Fire department here in my small community. It is a department second to none in my eyes. We face the same challenges as other Municipal departments even though we may not get the call volume.

One thing I have noticed is how close we all are when it comes to working together. We share a vision of safety for our community. We believe that our lives, and the lives of others, are safe because we Train.

We train for the worst and hope for the best. It is a process of repetition and rehearsal. We train to make the process mechanical, without flaw. When a catastrophe happens we rely on our training to carry us through with professionalism.

There isn’t a career that a person can do that doesn’t require training. Yet to my amazement, most people start home businesses and enter Network Marketing without seeking any training whatsoever. For the life of me I can’t figure Why they would do this.

They are DOOMED …….. DOOMED I say!

I have witnessed many people fail in the Home Business arena due to this key factor.

There are only 2 ways to change your Paradigm/ Your Belief System,
1) an Emotional event or
2) Constant repetitious speech.
That is how we Train our minds to Believe. That will see us through the catastrophes with professionalism.

In the book, “The Richest Man In Babylon” one of the “5 rules of gold” is listed as, seek knowledge prior to investing your earnings. You don’t go to the Brick Maker for advice on buying Jewels.

Seek council of those who have succeeded before you.
A Path to follow is easier to migrate, than breaking a trail. Ask questions.

What an awesome opportunity we have to share with others all the blessings that we have been given.

I am one of those people who believes counting your blessings WILL give you more.

I believe that we have the power to change our lifestyle into anything we want merely by thinking it into existence.

T. Harv Eker says - "Your Thoughts lead to Your Feelings which lead to Your Actions which Produces Your Results."

No Thought lives in the mind rent-free.

What a wonderful concept. So I ask you..

Do you want to change your life? Start by changing your thinking.
